We had a very good turnout of 12 cars for this year’s run. Fortunately the weather was dry, although overcast, which allowed many to enjoy open air motoring.
Starting off from Templepatrick at 1.40pm our run took us initially towards Ballymena via Donegore, Connor and Kells. We then skirted around Ballymena before making a refreshment/comfort stop at Galgorm Garden Centre, beside Galgorm Castle.
Our budding photographer, Ian McCluney, kindly took a video of all our cars leaving the garden Centre around 3.20pm. (which can be viewed below)
Our route then took us through a variety of picturesque villages which included, Gracehill, Ahoghill, Cullbackey, Rasharkin, Kilrea & Portglenone. We made a short stop at Portglenone Marina to stretch our legs and take a photo of the cars. It was then full steam ahead via Ballymena to the Ramble Inn for 5.15pm.
After enjoying a hearty meal we set off on our separate ways home around 7.30pm. A good day’s classic driving was had by all. Many thanks to everyone who came along to help make the day such a big success!
